1. Will these programs work on my Mac?
- Yes, Mac OSX 10.4 Tiger, 10.5 Leopard, or 10.6 Snow Leopard, Intel and Power PC processors supported as well.
2. How much disk space is needed?
- Spector Pro needs 5-20MB of space per day depending on user settings such as how frequently you save screen snapshots, are they black/white or color snapshots, how many days of recordings you save, and how often the Mac is actually used throughout the day.
3. Am I allowed to install the software on someone else's computer?
- You may only install the software to a computer you own. Before installation you must agree to only use on a computer you own.
4. Should I inform my employees or others that they are being monitored?
- Yes, the license agreement requires that you agree to notify anyone you may monitor with Spector Pro or eBlaster.
5. Can I use the evidence recorded in a court of law as evidence?
- This is completely up to the judge, who will decide if the recordings are admissible as evidence. We cannot guarantee you can use the recording as evidence and you should assume that the recording cannot be used as evidence when monitoring your computer.
6. Are multiple displays supported for recording?
- Yes, the software will support recording of Mac's with multiple displays connected to the system and will record everything that occurs on those displays.
7. Will this work with Mac OSX Parental Controls?
- Yes. With Spector Pro or eBlaster installed together with OSX Parental Controls you have a very powerful combination. If you find through recordings that the computer or Internet is abused you can always turn to the parental controls to limit access/usage or the computer and Internet for that user.
'Within two days of using Spector Pro, I had enough evidence to approach the police. The teacher, who was in a sexual relationship with our daughter, was arrested and is now listed as a sexual offender. This would not have been possible without your amazing product. I can't say thank you enough.'
